On 29th October 2018, the presentation of a new experimental theatre programme for Masters “The Culturology and Metatheatre” will be held at the National University of Ostroh Academy.
The programme is created in the context of implementing the innovative theatre and education project THE METATHEATRE supported by the grant from the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation*.
We invite graduates of the theatre and humanities higher education institutions, teachers, journalists, educators, and everyone who is interested in the development of theatre education in Ukraine to participate in the event.

At the heart of the educational activity of THE METATHEATRE is a new unique acting technology for the Ludic Theatre, which was created and designed by director and drama teacher M. Butkevich, as well as adapted to the contemporary professional and creative demands of the Ukrainian-American theatre director and drama teacher Oleh Liptsyn.
Oleh Liptsyn is a leading specialist in the Ludic Theatre technique, which is considered one of the most promising theories of contemporary theatre development.
The main mission of the project is to improve the level of education of potential students and graduates of theatre and humanities departments from different cities of Ukraine through educational sessions at the premises of educational institutions located in different regions of the country.
The programme will be represented by:
Oleh Liptsyn, an artistic director of the project, theatre director, and drama teacher;
Dmytro Shevchuk, Vice-Rector of the National University of Ostroh Academy;
Kateryna Kisten, a theatre and cinema actress, Honoured Artist of Ukraine;
Natalka Kostenko, a theatre actress and project coordinator.
